Lo and behold! There’s a new store in town! loandbeholdstore.com celebrates how much London loves Scandinavian design – which got us excited!
As a Scandinavian with english as my second language I had to look it up… Lo and behold as an expression on drawing others attention to something. Used especially to to announce things that are considered important, often written with an exclamation mark. The word ‘lo’ as used in this phrase is a shortening of ‘look’. So, lo and behold! has the meaning of look! – behold!. With a selection of truly stunning design pieces for home and lifestyle, there’s a clear must stop whatever you are doing and look at this store!
The online store opened only two months ago a carefully selected range of homewares and lifestyles products. And we have already spotted some great Scandinavian goodies in store; Ferm Living, LA Bruket, Broste Copenhagen, NUD Collection, House of RYM, Oyoy and they are the only UK stockist of Swedish brand By May.
We are really excited about seeing one of our favourite soap brands, L:a Bruket, in the UK.
Dan Sumpton, Co-founder of Lo and Behold Store shares what it is like to start up e-retail business in 2015; We’re based in Hackney where we live with our two young kids and my wife has given up her job as a fashion buyer after many years to follow her passion and start up her own thing. Its all a bit scary!! I’m helping out on the side whilst juggling my job/looking after the kids and her juggling looking after the kids as well as starting a new business.
The lovely young family behind the new online venture, Lo and Behold Store.
The idea is to grow, adding new brands for the modern home, preferably but not exclusively Scandinavian. A concept we like! So go on – check out loandbeholdstore.com
